ジェンダーはどのようにして形成されるのか。参加者には「ジェンダー」と結びつく本を一冊持ち寄り、5分間のプレゼンテーションをして頂き、その後様々な視点からジェンダーの構築についてディスカッションを行います。ジュディス•バトラーが「ジェンダーは自分の行動であり、 自分という存在ではない」と述べています。普段自分のジェンダーについて考えている方も、そうでない方も本の紹介を通してもう一度、「ジェンダー」を議論してみませんか。

Participants are requested to bring in their own book related to “gender constructivion”. Every participant will be asked to make a five minute presentation of the book making a connection with the formation of gender concepts and identities, before engaging in a wide ranging discussion on this subject. According to Judith Butler “Gender is not something one is, it is something one does, an act.. a “doing” rather than a “being””. Anybody is welcome to join (both those who are aware of their own gender and those who aren’t are welcome).
